Think all totalizing meters are the same? Think again. Carlon STD positive displacement water meters are best in class when it comes to accuracy, durability and ease of maintenance all at a surprisingly low cost. Featuring all bronze castings in sizes from 5/8" to 2". Carlon STD meters can handle flow rates from 1/4 to 160 GPM at 150 psi while delivering an amazing +/- 1.5% degree of accuracy. In fact, our STD meters meet or exceed all AWWA specifications, ensuring a wide acceptance in a variety of industrial and municipal environments.

Selecting the Right Size
For long-time trouble free performance, the size of the meter selected should be primarily based on the continuous flow in GPM, rather than pipe size. The life of a meter will be greatly reduced if it is continuously operated at or near its maximum delivery rate. The first step, therefore, should be to determine the continuous rate of flow in your system. For example, if this is determined to be about 25 GPM, a 1" meter should be chosen rather than a 3/4" size
